New Report on Climate Change Has Bad News For Australia

Australia, the driest inhabited continent on Earth is going to get drier and hotter in the next couple of years if a report by the Bureau of Meteorology and the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization is correct.

According to the report Australia could experience exceptionally hot years every one to two years as early as 2010. Currently Australia experiences extremely hot years every 20 to 25 years.

In addition, the risk of drought would double.

Southern Australia and the island of Tasmania would likely feel the effects the hardest.
